What should I pack in my hospital bag for labour?
Packing a hospital bag is one of the most important things to do before our baby arrives. You definitely don’t want to get stuck packing one when you are in labor.
I am going to provide a checlklist for what to take to the hospital when in labor for babyand mom. This checklist is not conclusive and only acts as a guide and a starting point to packing for the little one.
I suggest packing essentials on a minimal, bacause you might not need the extras.
When should you pack a hospital bag for labor?
I recommend packing a hospital bag at least one month ahead of your due date. This keeps you from having to quickly pack while in labor if your baby decides to come a week or so early.
Most women typically stay in the recovery room about 48 hours after giving birth. This is not everyone’s situation though. It depends on how baby and mom are doing. These factors can change the amount of time you stay.
